NOTICE OF ADVERTISEMENT

Matchlee Limited Partnership (MLP), a forest company wholly owned by the Mowachaht-Muchalaht First Nation, gives notice of its Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) amendment (Am) #7. The purpose of the amendment is to add an area around Black Creek, which is on the East site of Matchlee Inlet, to the existing Forest Development Unit (FDU) to facilitate access to future harvesting. The geographic area of FSP Am #7 covers the Mowachaht-Muchalaht First Nations’ Traditional Territory on the West Coast of Vancouver Island (as indicated on the map and described as an FDU).

By a decision from the District Manager, of the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development in Campbell River, the FSP amendment has been approved without having been made publicly available for review and comment. Further to that decision this notice is published indicating approval of the amendment; a copy of which will be provided to the District Manager.
