Dirk Marinus Zand III 

January 26,1945 – December 17, 2020 

The sudden passing of our Dad is hard to report. 

The eldest son of the Zand family is survived by his 2 kids Jonathan (Bonnie) and Clarissa (Cody), his 3 grandkids (Emma, Margo, Milo), his 7 siblings (Bea, Inese, Julius, Lena, Edmund, Teresia, David and their respective families), and his close friends. 

 Dad was dedicated to family, community, and getting out on adventures. He made Kyuquot his home; raising his family, teaching highschool, and retiring there. Biking, sailing, and camping trips were his idea of a perfect vacation. Dad had a love for music and he was a natural DIY guy. His resourcefulness and generosity meant he was always ready to lend a hand. 

 We mourn the accident that took you from us,
but we are thankful for the love and memories we did share. 

A celebration of life will be held when safe to gather.
