When I asked Cynthia if we were we supposed to try and catch them and read the tag # (birds are a big phobia for me – I would run the other way tag or no tag): She said “I would love to have the numbers if possible (ours are 001F-199F and black lettering on a white band). If you can’t get the number but can get a colour, that’s good too. If it’s not white, it’s not one of ours and should be reported to www.reportband.gov. I found a yellow-banded one in Sayward the other day that came from the Arctic, which is kind of cool.”
